Loos leads senior men on Day 1 of 2025 Winter Cup

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky (February 21, 2025) – Riley Loos (El Dorado Hills, Calif./Stanford University) leads the senior men’s field following Day 1 of competition at the 2025 Winter Cup in Louisville. His all-around total of 80.400 will see him start at the top of the leaderboard of finals on Sunday.

Loos also currently sits second on horizontal bar with a 13.350 and still rings with a 13.550. Currently ranked second in all-around competition is Frederick Richard (Stoughton, Mass./University of Michigan) with a 79.900 overall followed by Taylor Burkhart (Arvada, Colo./Stanford University) in third with a 79.750.

Event leaders from Friday include Richard on floor exercise (14.050), Parker Thackston (Surf City, N.J./Ohio State University) on pommel horse (14.150), Alex Diab (Glen Ellyn, Ill./EVO Gymnastics) on rings (13.700), Colt Walker (Austin, Texas/Stanford University) on parallel bars (14.050), Drake Andrews (Columbus, Ohio/Ohio State University) on high bar (13.350), and Kameron Nelson (Evans, Ga./Ohio State University) on vault (13.875; 13.900, 13.850).

Senior men’s competition will resume Sunday, February 23 at 4:30 p.m. ET with the all-around title and event medals to be determined. The Senior Men’s National Team will also be selected following Day 2.

Competition in Louisville continues Saturday with Elite Team Cup starting at 1 p.m. ET and senior women action beginning at 6 p.m. ET. Both sessions will stream live on the USA Gymnastics YouTube Channel. Live results are available at myusagym.com.
